English Premier League side Arsenal are interested in landing Slovenia international Jan Oblak as they have been keeping tabs on him for a while, reports say.
The North London side are however stuck as his club Atletico Madrid placed a €100 million price tag on him. The goalkeeper is one of the finest goalkeepers in Europe and he has drawn interests from many top clubs who are keen on luring him away from Madrid.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly reached out to the club a few times but Atletico is unwilling to let their star player out of their sight. Wenger, a fan of the shot stopper, was hoping to at least discuss the player with Coach Diego Simeone but the club was not willing to listen to any offer.
The release clause for the player is €100 million but Arsenal would be hoping to offer much less. For now it is unknown if Oblak would remain at the Vincente Calderon at the end of the season. He has been consistent for the Madrid-based outfit, starting all 13 league games so far.
The 23-year old saved a penalty recently in the 3-0 victory over Osasuna. He saved the team a few other times during the game. Simeone after the game said:
“Osasuna began very strong, and then came the decisive penalty save from Oblak. That is three big saves from him in just a few months. I am very happy for him personally.”
Atletico have sold some of their most important players in the past. From Fernando Torres to Sergio Aguero, Diego Costa, Arda Turan, and others. Antoine Griezmann and Koke have attracted a lot of interests but the club has decided to keep them. Arsenal would surely have to do a lot to lure Oblak.
