There have been several transfer rumours linking the Inter Milan goalkeeper Samir Handanovič with a move away from the club, but president Massimo Moratti has confirmed that he will not sell the Slovenian international at any price.
The 28-year-old has been very impressive for Inter Milan over the last season. He has comfortably managed to take the place of Julius Caesar, who has departed for QPR. The 28-year-old has been linked with a move to Spanish club Barcelona, who are looking for a replacement for Victor Valdes.

The 28-year-old has been very impressive for Inter Milan over the last season. He has comfortably managed to take the place of Julius Caesar, who has departed for QPR. The 28-year-old has been linked with a move to Spanish club Barcelona, who are looking for a replacement for Victor Valdes.
Valdes has announced recently that he will be moving away from Barcelona after the end of his current contract, which will complete in 2014. As a result, Barcelona have identified Handanovič as a potential replacement for the Spaniard. Handanovič has been one of the best goalkeepers in Italian Serie A since moving from Udinese in 2012.
Moratti has dismissed rumours by saying that he has not been reading any rumours on the papers. Even if there were rumours, they would stay only as rumours because Inter Milan do not have any plans to sell their star asset.
The club recently appointed former Napoli manager Walter Mazzarri as the replacement for Andrea Stramaccioni, who was sacked recently after a poor season.
“I don’t think there’s anything to it. I also read the newspaper report, but I read a lot of things that aren’t true, I can’t deny all of them. Handanovic will stay. We don’t need to replace a goalkeeper of this level, we probably need a new midfielder instead,” said the Inter Milan president. “Offers for Handanovic? He is one of the best goalkeepers in Europe, but there was nothing concrete. I know very well Andoni Zubizaretta (Barcelona sports director) and we have never talked about any negotiations,” said the club’s sporting director Branca.
