Most of the American players which are performing in Europe disappointed during the friendly match which was played against Ukraine earlier in the month as they suffered a 2-0 loss and now Klinsmann is going to select a number of MLS based players hoping that they can perform better than their European counterparts.
‘’It is definitely a game we need to see where our MLS and Mexican-based players are. They need to prove now that they badly want to go to Brazil.” Klinsmann told USSoccer.com
There are however a few players which have their secured spot in the starting lineup of the coach which includes Landon Donovan, Michael Bradley, Graham Zusi and Kyle Beckerman which will be operating in the midfield of the squad and Klinsmann revealed that it’s important for players such as them to start getting a rhythm.
“It’s very important to us that our leaders in our group are really getting a rhythm and getting games in’’. Klinsmann said.
While on the attacking department of the squad will be featuring Clint Dempsey along with Chris Wondolowski. Their upcoming friendly match against Mexico will be crucial for Klinsmann to know which players are in better shape and ready to represent USA for the 2014 World Cup.
